Who we are

A congregation with no fences.

We are an interfaith, multifaith, and humanist community — clergy and laypeople of every tradition and none, gathered around the shared work of a kinder world.

Our story

Founded on a simple hunch: the sacred is bigger than any one of us.

The Omnist Centre of North America was founded in 2025 by a Nun in consultation with a close circle of Ministers, Imams, Priestesses, Shamans, Rabbis, Monks, Humanist Chaplains, and Lay Seekers. These individuals had repeatedly found themselves sharing the same spaces and serving their communities side by side, from interfaith Thanksgiving gatherings and hospice bedsides to community food programs. Through these shared experiences, a common question emerged: Why not create a spiritual home where people of many paths could come together?

"Omnist" is an old English word from 1839, meaning one who honors all faiths. We chose it because it refuses the small argument. We do not claim every religion is identical, nor that difference does not matter. We claim that every honest search for meaning deserves reverence, and that the human family is one.

We are not a denomination. We are a centre — a gathering place. Our doors are open to Christians and Muslims and Jews, to Hindus and Buddhists and Sikhs, to Bahá'ís and Pagans and Indigenous elders, to humanists, agnostics, atheists, and to the many who simply say: I am still looking.

Mission

To gather people of every tradition and none under one wide roof — to reflect, worship if they choose, learn, serve, and celebrate our shared humanity.

Vision

A North America where reverence and reason meet, and people of all beliefs, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, ages, abilities, and backgrounds belong with equal dignity.

Practice

Weekly interfaith gatherings, daily practices from the world's traditions, humanist ethics circles, and shared service in our neighborhoods.
